- A similar precaution is recommended for physical medicinal practices like Yoga, acupuncture, and chiropractics. Many of these practices may involve heavy and difficult physical exercises for example postures of Yoga. Therefore, check if any of these exercises would hurt or worsen any of your existing physical problems before following them. When it comes to acupuncture, ensure that the practitioner that you are visiting is reputed and the establishment is clean and hygienic.

- Alternative medicine has many dubious elements and quacks, just like conventional medicine. All efforts should be made to ensure that you are visiting a genuine and reputed practitioner.
